No, unless Mopar Performance changed the program since 1994 the 117mph top speed is still there. I had a 92, 93, and a 94 5.2L Dak and I put the PCM on all three. They still shut down at 117mph. Also, with the MP PCM, the gas has to be very good. The MP PCM adds too much WOT ignition advance to run bad gas. I don't mean 87 oct either. I couldn't run 93oct that had any alcohol or methanol in it. Most of the 92/93oct gas today has either one or both of these in the fuel. Alcohol and Methanol require a much richer air/fuel mixture than gasoline. This causes a lean condition in the engine and makes the engine detonate. If I put 92oct gas that was 5% alcohol/methanol, I couldn't hit 117mph. The truck would top out at 110mph. If the gas was bad enough it would top out at 105mph. When I could find 93oct that had no alcohol or methenal it would scream all the way to 117mph and then it would shut down. I ended up removing the MP PCM because it was too hard to find good gas. It actually ran better on the original PCM.

Headers, MSD ignition and wires, CGS cold air intake kit, low restriction cat. Maybe a Jet, Hypertech or Venom module. I don't know what is best. I own 94 Dak with 5.2 also and I am looking to upgrade and right now in the research phase so take what I'm telling you with agrain of salt. So far this is what I've found out that would be good up grades. Keep in touch so we can check on each others progress as I'm looking for someone with a similar truck to share info.

Will the stock Y-pipe from a 94 work with 92-93 manifolds? If it doesnt is the earlier y-pipe available from the dealer?(I know its not avalable at a parts store)

I also would like to replace the exhauset from the Y-pipe back. Thinking of going with a Carsound HF cat and maybe a gibson cat back or just put a Thrush glass pack inplace if the muffler.
