Subject: s/c on stock '95 5.2 4x4 IP: Logged
Message: i have stock '95 ext. cab 4x4 with the 5.2 and was wondering what kind of hp and tq gains id get with a s/c and what would be best to gain massive low end tq i have an auto and i know id need a way better tq converter and it with my transfer case will eat up power but has anyone tried this? will i scatter my t- case?im not looking to break all four tires lose on dry pave ment i just want to be able to eat my friends alive besides the truck needs more tq and ponies

Message: You could put a Vortech kit on there making 6psi and get around 290-300 rear wheel horsepower and around 350-360 ft/lb rear wheel torque. You'd want a good set of headers and a good exhaust setup to really take advantage of the blower. As long as your tranny/transfer case/rear end are in good shape to begin with, you should be okay.
