Subject: stuck oil filler cap

Just wondering does anyone have a problem with the cap getting stuck when engine is hot? All it does is click like it does when you tighten it. O I am turning it the right way 98 rc dokota sport ,flomaster 40 slightly modified air box k&n flashey red paint
144,000 miles still runs real strong leaking 3500 trany(not really bad) squeaky clutch (probley from the leak right side ball joints gone .

yeah mine did that to me once it pi$$ed me off to no end because i was changing the oil already had it drained and click click click ssoooo i just took a large flat blade screwdriver and pryed the top part from the cap and unscrewed the threaded part. then i got a good idea and broke out the epoxy glue and glued the cap so it stays solid and dosent click at all it works great now and dosent feel as cheesy (just be careful not to over-thghten it) oh by the way mines a 98 rc v6

My 98 did the same thing. The stupid cap would get so tight I could hardly get it off. Then when you start unscrewing it, the thing would click and you'd end up busting your hand on something. lol Well maybe its not that bad... but i just went out and bought a aftermarket pretty one. It works great, no more busted hands.
