Subject: Late model heads on early model engine IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys,
I've just been givin an early model 360 engine. I think it's a 1978. Can anyone tell me for sure if the heads and intake from a 1999 or around that year 360 will fit that early block? I'd like to rebuild that 360 and convert it to EFI if the late model stuff will work. Please help!

Message: it will work but you gotta do a few things...
get aftermarket lifters with oil bleeds in em
measure for pushrod lenght after heads are on using an adjustable pushrod.
thats it. as long as you are using magnum heads, a magnum manifold should bolt up to it.

Message: It's got different motor mounts too. Sorry Mike, I don't think it would be worth your while.
