Message: i had the short glass packs and yes with the staight pipes it is alot louder.Plus from the dyno that i ran on it today shows there was a 17hp increase so yea straights is the way to go.Glasspacks sounded good but just werent loud enough my flowmaster i had b/f it was just as loud.

Message: I was running an open Y-Pipe on my 4.7 and I have had no exhaust come close to that deep, badass sound. I loved it, but it got too loud for my taste. Right now, I am running true duals with short glasspacks, and it sounds great as well, but nothing compares to that straight pipe sound.

Message: I put an electric exhaust cutout before the cat, right after the y pipe, Open and close it from the cab. It is extremely loud and can be heard for over a mile If Im on it hard. Then I close it up and its a delta flowmaster 50 series dumped before the rear axle. This is on a 97 5.2.
