Message: I have a 2001 Dakota 4x4 and was wondering how hard it is to put a Transmission cooler on it.
Thanks

Message: Not difficult at all. Kind of messy, but not difficult. You could try the bone yard, since that was part of the trailer tow package. But it's a pretty standard addition, and usually worth the money.

Message: I had one as part of the trailer pakage but wanted more since I was towing a 5,000+lb trailer so I got one from an auto parts store. I just spliced into the return line and ran it through the new cooler.

Message: The number one enemy of automatics is heat . ( and bad mechanics)Get one. I used an air conditioner condenser on my 72 dart 340, goes in hot, comes out cold! Wouldnt reccommend that for a computer controlled daily driver though. But get the biggest one you can get.
