Hello Everyone I am new here.
I have a 2000 Dakota ClubCab and I have a problem maybe someone can help me with.

I bought the truck last week and I am sending it to Sweden.
In Sweden it is law that the rear turnsignal is Amber, so I thought I'll be smart about this and bought Clear Eurotail lights, thinking I can put an amber light bulb where normally the back-up light goes. Well I did locate and cut the upper turnsignal cable, I cut the backup light cabla and spliced the turnsignal cable into the lower socket and put a amber bulb there. So far so good, now my problem appeared now I have no brake light in the upper socket and both turnsignal and brake light in the lower socket. I seems to me that both turn signal and brake light is the same cable? Is there a way to separate this so I can have only turnsignal in the lower socket and brake and tail light in the upper socket? I am desperate for help, somebody please !!!

Wow, what a mess you created for yourself. The only real way to get around this is to do a complete re-wire. Even so, your fuze box may not be able to handle this kind of change.

not sure if it will work, but I was behind a durango today and the brake lights were seperate from the signal. Lower bulb was signal, upper was brake and tail light. Maybe check if that tail light circut can be used on your dakota.
