Subject: 360/318 Magnum head specs IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone have any specs (dimensions) for heads for a 318 or a 360? Even any specs on the intake manifold would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have this info in a FSM, or know of a website that might have this info???
Thanks!
Jack

Message: What exactly are you wanting to know when you say "dimensions"? Are you talking about valve stem diameters, port volumes, chamber volumes, things of that nature? One thing....the 318 Magnum and 360 Magnum heads and intakes are identical

Message: I was looking more for the outside dimensions of the heads and intake manifolds, what anlges the heads are set at on the block and compared to the intake manifold. Basically, I am wanting to fit one of these manifolds (adding fuel injection to) on my AMC 401ci V8. I have heard that it will work with spacers, so I just need to figure out the differences in dimensions between the manifold from the dodge vs. the amc.
Jack (I hope that made sense!)

Message: Jack,
I don't know who told you that but maybe they meant an AMC 360. The Mopar 360 intake wont even come close to fitting, even with spacers.

Message: Well the AMC 304, 360, and 401 blocks and head dimensions are the same, so it wasn't that. Maybe it is the Pre-Magnum intake that will fit. Do you have any sources for why it won't? Not that I am questioning you, I am just trying to get in contact with anyone who has tried this before. IF not, I am jsut going to try and piece together an TBI kit using chebby parts. I really don't need MPI on my JEep, I just want some reliability on steep angles without spending an arm and a leg. Plus it sounds like a good challenge to me! So does anyone have ANY information that might be relevant to my goal??? Bueller?? Bueller??
Thanks guys!
Jack
