The hypertech is made so that it can only program one vehicle at a time.

So do you have to leave the hypertech plugged in all the time? I thought it just reprogrammed the chip.

The Hypertech box basicly sucks up your stock programming, and inserts the Hypertech programming. It's a swap deal. So after you program you truck, the box only contains the stock program and the one you didn't use (there are two choices for upgrades). I don't think that's exactly true, but that's how it behaves. If one box could program 50 vehicles, they wouldn't sell very many.
