What is a good PCM to get for my 4.7l 2000 Dakota.
The stock PCM is fried and needs to be replaced.
Also should I go stock or high performance. Where is a good place to get one.

You could get a used one a lot cheaper at carparts.com, but I hear they don't always work in some trucks. I got one for something like $90 to run while I was getting the Leach flash on my original. So since its a 2000, there is a performance option for you.

Mike Leach: (714) 639-5220 ($400) or kennebell.net ($349). Also try krcperformance.com but I think they use Mike Leach for the 2000's.

In all cases you have to send in your PCM to get it flashed (a new program). So you have down time on your truck unless you have a seperate stock PCM to run.

Why is your stock PCM fried? It's covered by an 8 year/80,000 mile warranty. If it got damaged through no fault your own, you should be able to get another PCM under warranty at your local dealership.
