 Subject: 4.7- 360 Air Intakez

Just bought a 360 Air Intakez for my 03 4.7, wanted to see if anyone else had trouble getting the intake to fit under the hood. The kit I ordered also came with the heat shield, dont see how the heat sheild is going to fit with the 9" S&B Filter. I also had trouble connecting the tube to the TB, they are two different sizes.

I just installed one on my 04 and it a really tight fit, but it does fit. I didn't have any problems with the connection at the TB. If anything the silicone coupler was too big.

Put a kool shot on my 03 dak 4.7L. Put the supplied coupling inside the rubber clamp on throttle body and tightened down with original clamp worked great is tight and no problems

I've got a 360 intake on my 4.7, but damn when I bought it they didn't even offer a heat shield.
Anywho, I had no problems with hood clearance or mating it to the throttle body..

Ahh, just checked their website, I have the powershot intake on mine. Never seen the koolshot before, looks kinda neat :)

I have had one for about 8 months. Works GREAT! makes your engin sound like a monster. FYI it is a tight fit but it will fit. Start with the throtlle body peice.
Just slightly clamp it down. Then add the filter to the other section W/ heat shield since you got it. Do not tighten that down to much eather. Finaly put the two together. Make sure that the heat shield is actualy shielding heat...lol. You may need to bend it a *bit*. I had to about 1". I made the heat sheild a big catcher for air because I took out the rubber flap. Tighten all bolt once you have a good fit, and bang instat intake.
It WILL fit and you WILL love it.

It sounds like everyone that has purchased a 360 Intake has had no trouble. I tried to install mine this weekend and I had nothing but trouble. The silicone coupling that attaches to the TB was much bigger than the TB, no matter how I put the intake tubing in I was not able to make it fit with the filter on. I did come close once but when I went to insert the IAT sensor it did not reach the rubber gromet. After all the excitment I had to put the factory airbox back on. I guess I am going to have to try another air intake. Thanks for the feedback.

I had the same experience with my 03 4.7L. Would not fit. It was rubbing the hood and the AC lines. The only thing I can figure is the intake on the 03+ 4.7L is the HO intake.

Hmm that is really strange. Like I stated before it fits on my 2000 dak no prob. Maby the H.O. intake is the problem??? But I have a friend who upgraded his 99 4.7 to the H.O. inkate and he also has a 360intakez intake and it fits fine.
Some strange things,
1)my rubber connectors were too small if anything.
2)You say that the filter will not fit but mine has a good 6" of space to move.
3) you say your IAT does not reach. That is realy weard I have heard no problems from anyone else with a 2002 or later modle with the IAT in the intake.
That is just really strange. I totaly belive you I just feel real bad you put down $175.00 for something that does not seem to work for you. You can always call 360 and ask them for help. I am sure they would be more than happy to lend you some asistance. I would call around 5 central time though so you can get him.

K&N Generation 2 works just fine on my '03 4.7 Dak. It's got a mean sound and people get out of the way. It was easy to put on; heat shield and all and no problems fitting anything.
