how much cfm in stock or slightly modified(can't be that much different anyway) does the 4.7 require.

modified being say pcm, throttle body, catback and poor boy cold air intake.

Yeah there is a formula out there now if I can just remember it.

2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, HO cams installed.
Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.

287 (cu. in displacement) X 6000 (redline RPM)/1728 (cu. in per cu ft)=997 CFM is that right CW? Just a guess.

Umm doesn't look right but it could be. Found a online calcuator. CFM calc

That little motor only needs 500 to 600 CFM to be happy at 6000. Personaly I think a ported stock style throttle body is sufficent. Like the fast man. Mind you this is all bench racing so I haven't had anything on the dyno or driven in real life.

I put in dual plane because it is closer than a single plane and figured a 80% VE it is a pretty efficient engine in stock trim.

It is a 9.25 diff I am not positive on the spline count but 31 sounds right.
