The only DAK I've heard of running the 456s was in the "R/T Shootout" featured in Sport Truck several months ago. It was the fastest of the R/Ts in the article.
I went from 355s to 410s and was HAPPY!
So far only a 1/2 (one half) MPG decrease.

Message: I thought I remembered reading up on gears awhile back off a drag racing site and they said somethin about the higher the gear the better power off the line but the less your power will be in the top end unless you have somethin to make up for it. The lower the gear the less power off the line but the more top end power you'll have.

Message: I'm still on the stock 255/65/16 Goodyear Eagle LS. I've got only about 25,000 miles on them and there starting to wear out. My 410s are responsible for the loss of a lot of that rubber.
The total install for my Motive Gear 410s was $461.86. The receipt shows: parts $265.00 - Labor $175 - Tax 21.86.

Message: Marty,
Let me get this straight, you want to go thru the 1/4 mile traps in 3rd gear in a five speed with 4.56's in the rear end running 29" rubber, right?

Message: Marty, is you rev limiter still in the stock place? If you have the MP PCM you can run it to I'd say 5800 with no fear of hitting the rev limiter. This means you top speed in 3rd gear (on the automatic) is 110 MPH with a 29 inch tall tire. I'd say you need a lot of mods before you hit that MPH in the traps. A 28 inch tall tire (like on the R/T) will go to 106 MPH with the same setup. If you are limited to 5100 rpm and have a 28 inch tall tire, you will hit the rev limiter in 3rd at 95 MPH, which you would probably be able to do stock with 4.56 gears. You'll need a 31 inch tall tire to reach 105 MPH on a 5200 rpm redline. Play with this site:
http://www.ring-pinion.com/calc-rpm.html
hope that helps
