I have an 04 CC, with the 4.7 and a 5-speed, and I have had
it since new, (about 3500 miles ago). Anyway there is this
high pitch squeak, that changes from a high pitch to low
pitch, back and forth, when the truck is idling in nuetral, its
not really loud, but I my girlfriend noticed it, and said it has
been doing that since new... its more pronouced when the
truck is warmed up, and seems to be coming from under
the cab... I had a 03 3.9 5-speed, and it never made this
noise... anyone else had this problem? I hate to take it in to
the dealer and tie it up for a day, because I need the truck
for work...

Thanks
DavesDak

Does the noise change when you push in the clutch pedal? If so probably the through-out bearing. If its more of a humming type noise might just be normal electric fuel pump noise..

the fuel pumps on these are junk -- I have a 2004 , ext cab with 4.7 and te auto tranny with 3900 miles onit -- bought new in septmeber -- I took it back twice to delear [ ist time after only 10 days and forced them to put new pump on it - they had to get one at tat point from the assembly line-- the 2nd one went in at 2500 miles -- the first 2 made a horrbly loud whining noise -- andteh tank sending unit was grossly inaccurate -- the third pump is quieter , but not as quiet as onany other brand -- my 987 with 32.9 never made any pump noise right nup to when it failed at 60K miles -- chrylser brand parts are crap
