Subject: Model differences IP: Logged
Message: Hi everyone,
I'm trying to decide between a 2002 Dakota Quad Cab and a 2003 model. The engine description on the 2002 says: 4.7L V8 Magnum Throttle Body Injection. The 2003 is described as a 4.7L V8 SMPI OHV. Are both engines the same, perhaps described differently? What are the major differences between the two models, if any? Is one better than the other? Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Message: Thank you for your reply, Spiller. Interesting thing is that those descriptions come from CarFax.
Does anyone know of any significant differences (transmission, engine, etc) between the 2002 and 2003 models?
