I have a 94 Dakota with a 5.2 that has ran great since I bought it last February. I drove it home the other day, shut it off, went out the next morning and it wouldn't start. After switching coils because I had burnt one up earlier, it still didn't run. Then I noticed the crank sensor (old plastic bracket style) had broken off, so I replaced it with a metal bracket style. I thought maybe the flywheel was loose, so I took the cover plate off the tranny to see, but everything seemed to be tight. But ever since that day, it runs okay when its cold, but after the engine warms up, it acts like it looses half of its cylinders and you have to keep it running with your foot. Anything below 1000rpm and it dies and still does not have any power. The drb3 sync signal said +12, so I backed it off to +4 and there was no difference. I have tried changing the cam sensor, map sensor, timing chain, cam shaft, computer, and distributor cap, still no improvement. By the way, the cam shaft that I put in two days ago was the Mopar 7548 (I know it says for carburated use only, but its way more powerful and runs way better at cold start up than the stock cam. I center-lined it at 118 with the degree wheel and it is pulling 12 inches of vacuum. The stock cam, with a worn timing chain, was only pulling 10. But this problem was happening for a week before I changed the cam. If I ever get it running, I would like to get an M1, a custom flash, and a converter. By the way, I've been running Hooker super comp headers for a 91 since last March with a true 2 1/2" dual setup with the oxygen sensor placed in the hot spot of the collector with no problems until a week ago. The drb3 doesn't show any codes and I have checked the supposedly bad splice below the fuse box below the hood. It looked good so I didn't resplice it. Do you have any ideas what may be wrong with my baby???? Thank you, Jammie
