 Subject: "blank" super chips programmer

The bolts on my exhaust hangers popped out, went down the street to a local auto repair place, the head guy was admiring my Dak, he had a tundra, told me he had a "blank" superchips programmer that he had got for his mustang, and that he could custom program my dak, this sounded pretty fishy to me, don't those programmers have to be for a specific application to work? This guy is full of it huh?

I have never heard of that. If that were true then all of us 4.7 guys would have found out about it. I am awaiting the hypertech for the 4.7 Maybe he had one for your truck. I wouldn't try it. Don't need to screw up your truck. Computers are expensive.
