I installed the HPP III 50008 for my 02 Dakota 5.9. I Love It! The thing was a pig from the factory. The programmer makes a noticable differenece. I picked up about 2mpg (based on a 600 mile ride at 70-80mpg crusing speed(got 13.1mpg with about 400lbs of cargo in the box of my 4x4 quad cab)) and my SOTP meter noticed the crisper and stronger throttle response. rpmoutlet.com is supposed to have them at the end of December but I couldn't wait and picked mine up at Jegs.
IMO, if you've got an 02 5.9, get one. It's worth it.
