 Subject: 99 sport v8 pinging

I have a 99 v8 sport with 111000 km !I notice a light pinging when I push about half throttle down and sometimes a heavier knocking !I do use chevron gas 87 octane (cause my manual says dont run any higher octane!Anyone have any ideas what I should do ?

well that figures out to 68931 us miles have you had any problems with the bellypan gasket.
If you use Chevron all the time your valves and combustion chambers should be clean.
Check this out and see if you find anything that helps

Yep. Probably the intake manifold belly pan gasket.
