Message: J-Mac,
Use Mothers California Gold Clay Bar. The product comes with a clay bar and detailer spray to get all inpurties out of the paint and some surface scratches if they are not imbedded into the clear coat. Then you apply a coat of wax that is also included in the kit. Cost of the kit is $16.00 at Kragen or any other autoparts store. You will be throughly impressed on how your vehicle will look and feel.

Message: go with meguiars 3 step system. it takes a bunch of elbow grease but it works. try their scratch x for the scratches. if the scratches aren't too deep it should get rid of them

Message: Carnuba wax, with zero abrasives for my Dak.
Probably won't work well on minor scratches though.

Message: wax?? is just that its wax...comes off very fast in a hot climate lasts a bit longer in cold ones but its still just wax...get yourself a good sealer....2 coats and you are good to go...wax doesnt protect its soft wax :) so you are going to get scratches in the clear coat you can wax all you want but will still get scratches..
