 Subject: fuel pump

problem i have is when the tank goes below 1/2
the engine cuts out and tries to stall.this getsprogressively worse as the tank empties.
The truck is a 94 club 4x4 318

Sounds like you might have water in the gas tank. Have someone (or yourself) drain a little off the bottom of the gas tank to see if it's water. Water is heavier than gas and goes to the bottom of the tank. If it is water drain most of it and then add one of those chemicals that removes water from the lines and tank.
