Guys help me out, please. I have a 98 V8 5.2 4x4. Just got it not to long ago, about 4 months ago or less. Got the first snow and I had never tested the 4x4 since I got it. I replaced the rear diff. fluid during the summer with Amsoil and the special slip additive. So I tested it out and it grabs and pulls and then when I switch ot of it, it makes a winding down sound. I don't know what it could be. Any info or feedback would be great guys. Thanks!

Sounds almost normal to me. Binds on sharp turns and whines when in 4wd on decel from t-case. Almost all 4X4 do that.

The winding down is probably just a disengage process because the transfer case doesnt automatically disengage, it takes a few seconds to come out of mesh
