 Subject: Question about the O2 sensor locations

Are they located in the headers anywhere? I looked as best as I could around my 2000 5.9L and I didn't see anything remotely resembling O2 sensors or wiring in the headers.
Reason I ask, is if I buy headers I want to make sure there are provisions for the O2 sensors if needed.

they may be located just down stream from the exaust manifolds in the exaust piping itself but definantly before the cat converter. just start ther and work your way back. hope this helps.

i am 99% sure that the o2 sensor is gonna be just down stream of the manifold or header have a look it will be just before and after the cat. reason being that the computer checks the cat from time to time by richining the mix and seeing if the cat burns the extra fuel by showing a different o2 reading from the downstream versus the upstream
