Subject: new exhaust and better fuel consumption IP: Logged
Message: 4 weeks ago I installed a new 3" exhaust to my 99 R/T. Mopar headers, a big metal cat, a dynomax race muffler and 2 supertrapps. In combination with my other mods (Mopar PCM, M1 Manifold, K&N, Accel Kit, Fastman throttle body) I gained a lot top end power. Now driving on German Autobahns is even more fun.
But the interesting thing is, that by fuel consumtion dropped 1.5 - 2.0 liters per 100kms!
Thank you Dan (from Fastman)!
I love my R/T!

Message: He didn't really - he delivered the parts (M1 manifold, the throttle body, the Mopar headers and cat) to Switzerland. The rest was delivered by Summit Racing.

Message: Ah...Super trapps huh? I wonder if I could do true duals with 2.5" Carsound cats, an x-pipe, and 2.5" Supertrapps. That'd be a cool exhaust. How much were the mufflers and what were the parts numbers for the mufflers?
interesting. Supertrapps are supposed to be good stuff.

Message: If I remember right the supertrapps (5" dia) were $179.00 each. You have to check at http://www.summitracing.com

Message: One more question: How loud are the supertrapps?

Message: Closed (with end caps) and with a Dynamax muffler in front as loud as the Gibson exhaust. Without the end caps too noisy (at least for Europe).
