I have a 1992 Dakota 5.2L 4x4 auto. I would like to put a 5spd in the 4spds place. Did Dodge offer my Dakota with a 5spd? Were do i find a good cheap 5spd? Thanks

Haven't seen anything that specifically states they did, but there are references to the AX15 5-speed being for V6 applications. However, later on, specifically '96 and up, there are listings for this AX15 with 5.2/5.9 applications, so it seems to me that it is do-able, without much hassle, even if Dodge didn't. Seems to me they did offer it because I was so fragged by not being able to get a stick for my '89 Shelby--auto only. Just a couple years later...a 5-speed appeared.

The 5.2 did not come with a 5 speed until 1994. However, the AX-15 was offered behind V6s before 1994.
