Message: '96 was a year of change, but it boils down to this. If you are swapping a 318 Magnum for a 360 Magnum you have a couple things to look for. If the 318 converter has a small 90 degree symbol stamped into the flat face of the converter, it's a later style and will swap to the 360 Magnum and will work as long as you use the later style flexplate for the 360 Magnum. In '96, Mopar changed the converters to an evenly-spaced bolt pattern and they have 90 and the little degree symbol stamped into them. These converters are not weighted. This weight was moved to the flexplate, which also sports the even bolt spacing, and will only work with the later converters. So, it'll swap, but you must use the 360 Magnum flexplate. These weights are different for non-Magnums, so take this into account if using one of them.
