Subject: headers IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 4.7 in 2000 and 2001? I found a set of headers that i would like to buy off a wrecked 2000, but am unsure if there were any changes in 2001. Also, after removing the stock headers will the aftermarket (borla) bolt right on? I'm not much of a gearhead so any help would be appretiated.

Message: I know that the headers will work, but call borla about the exaust set up. their exausts are usually a cat back system so it shouldnt be a problem, but get the info first.

Message: The factory 4.7 exhaust manifolds flow to within 2% of headers. 2000 had 65mm throttle body, 2001 had 68mm.

Message: 01Motorsport:
That is an interesting stat. Headers, esp. Borlas, are too expensive for the gains received. And they are noisy! And Borla is entirely too proud of their stuff, pricewise.
