I have a 03' 4.7L 4x2. I want the Hurst kit. I was reading back posts about putting the kit in 01-up trucks but am still a bit confused. Has anyone done this ? Will it work ? What mods do you have to do ?

It fits the tranny fine. The problem is that on '01 and up the dash comes closer to the shifter. You end up hitting the dash in 1st, 3rd, etc. You need to bend the Hurst shift lever so that it won't hit.
