Message: you may have to reset your computer to get rid of the fault code. When i had a 3.9 V6 i had to do the same to clear the fault code and check engine light. Hope this helps.

Message: Unplug the battery, then turn the ign. key to start for 15-30 seconds. That clears out the entire computer fault code bank.

Message: Take it to the dealer. It sounds like your cat is bad. Fed law requires the dealer to warranty the cat for 8yrs/80K mi. I just had mine replaced at 54K.

Message: Then just go with Yogi's suggestion - you're covered. Please let us know what it is once you get it fixed. I doubt its the cat but almost everything that would set the MIL light except for plugs and filters should be covered by that federal emissions warranty.
