OK I just got a 94 Dak 5.2 with about 129k and the valves chatter under load any idea what might be causing this to happen.

sounds to me from the brief info that you just need to have your valves adjusted. with that amount of mileage they should be checked anyway. very simple to do as long as you know the gap measurement.

If it is only under load, it is most likely pinging that you are hearing. BTW on a hydraulic valve there is no gap measurement.
