I have a 91 dak with the 318. My air pump is shot. So I want to pull it. But I have to have a pully over there so the tensioner will work. Has anyone tryed this?

Huh? What tensioner? If you take the belt off, aren't all the other accessories driven by the other belts? The water pump should also have the power steering belt drving it. I don't have the '90 graphic, so I guess they could've changed something, but that's unlikely. You should be able to toss the pump and belt.

The 91 runs a serpentine belt like all other vehices.

As for pulling the pump, you may want to just get a new one if you are in a emissions controlled area. Because it is part of the emissions system, you will be fined for not having it.

I have done this to my 91 and the only way to do it is to get the belt tensioner pulley off of a magnum engine 92 or newer and then find a belt. if you have a junk yard near by they might have one you will also need the washer from the magnum pulley.
If you have a carquest by you the part number for the belt is K060888 if you dont have a carquest by you the mesurements are 21mm x 2270mm 6 rib belt this belt is with air conditioning if you dont have it youll have to guess and check but this is a good starting point without air.

The pulley on the magnum is a ribed pulley while the one that is on the truck right now is a smooth pulley. It requires a slight re roughting of the belt everything still works normally and i have had no problems since.
