I have a 2000 Dak 4x4 4.7L V-8 with LSD. Truck came with a worn set of Goodyears. The truck was bad about losing traction when turning, especially when it was wet. I really have to baby the throttle or it will spin.

I put on a new set of Michelin LTX M&S and thought this would fix it but it was no better.

I know the rear is light and it has a V-8 but I'm talking about normal driving.

Any one else had this problem and bought a tire that would work.

I too had the same crappt Goodyear tires on my 98. I got a set of BF AT/KO's and they handle just great on dry and wet urfaces. I can't wait for a good Michigan winter to really test these out.

The Toyo's on my '98 were also spinning on turns & losing traction during normal driving. By adjusting the air pressure down near 30 psi, there was a dramatic improvement. Not as good a solution as getting new BFG's, but if you don't have the scratch for new rubber then this might be worth a try. You might even be able to go lower, but be careful about putting a load in it without pumping them back up.
