Subject: Plans for early V-8 motor mounts IP: Logged
Message: Does anybody have plans for motor mounting pads for putting an early v-8 into the early Dakotas? i've been examining it and i think a man could come off the frame and angle it for the rubber insulators. the schumacher kit is just to expensive. the magnum v-8's use a differnt style mounting boss then the old LA engines.

Message: Basically, you could get the frame mounts from a full-size truck, cut them off, and weld them in the conventional position on the Daks frame. That's essentially what Mopar did with the Shelbys. The Magnums still have the engine mount ears at the front of the block, and the LA mounts fit just as they would on an LA block.
