DemonDakota I own a ford store in Mass. called "Framningham Ford" and we sell both lightnings and Boss Trucks, and I can tell you that the Lightning is the only S/C truck that ford makes the Boss is not and most likly will not ever become superchared from the dealer because ford is afraid that it may take away sales from the lightning. The cost of the truck is due to the appearance package and iterior package. Other than that it is just a 5.4L F-150 pickup.

What about the truck I drove? It sure as hell had a S/C on it. It was an Eaton (although I don't know the exact model or boost elvels, but it was stout)?

The Lightning is not the only SC Ford F-150 that Ford makes. The Harley Davidson version F-150 is supercharged also.

Nevermind...it's pointless arguing with anyone over this. The fact remains that I "drove" a supercharged Boss orange and black F150 regular cab. Have a nice day...life...whatever...

I was at Jacky W Jones Ford in Clevland GA the other day and spoke with Gary Cower. He told me that thay did not have any Boss F-150's, but they had sold a few and could order one. He also told me that they have the 5.4, no SC. The only SC'ed trucks are the Ltn and HD. Someone needs to lay off of the drugs before they go for a test drive. Or you need to take a hard look at what you think fast is if you thought the stock 5.4 hauls ass.

DemonDakota I am not saying that you did not drive a S/C Boss all that I am saying is that they do not come standard on the truck from ford, but because it is the 5.4L engine the lightning supercharger package will fit and can be ordered for the truck. I do not know the exact price for the upgrade package but my quess would be around $2800 to $3300 more. The ford dealer that you visited could have put the S/C on a few of their Bosses or all of their Bosses, But believe me it was a specially ordered truck.

Not trying to get us off topic, and I know his post is a few months old but ssmurf, it was the 94 that had 215hp and they were still using the 302 at that time... The SOHC 4.6 has always had atleast 260hp.

to answer part of Dills question, I have recently been to a Ford dealer and have seen prices rangeing from $30,000-33,000 for a Lightning.

The 4.6L has 231-232 HP rating in the F150, not the GT Hp rating of 260.

It'd be nice if it had the exact same HP rating as the GT. The TQ difference is very minimal between the two setups...

Some of you are right about the fact that LA West does not S/C the boss truck that is done by the Ford SVT group. The Boss Truck ARE Supercharged.
