Message: I have an 03 4x4 ext cab.
I want to put some tires on steel wheels for the winter(snow ice salt), and leave them on until after my annual "offroad" fishing trip in the spring then put my alloy wheels & stock tires on for the summer. what size mud/snow tires can i put on without suspension mods. 265 x 70 r16 s is a posted option, Im thinking a little bigger

Message: My 03 4x4 came with 265/70 16's stock. I was looking into getting bigger tires too from what i hear, 265/75 16's or 32"/11.50" on 15"rims would work without a lift.

Message: i have 31's on my dakota sport all the time and they fit about perfect. 32's would probably fit good too.

Message: Why would you want to run a bigger tire in the winter ? You'll get better traction with a narrower one.

Message: my 31's arent that wide and they dig in the snow really good. you dont have to get wide ones.
