Message: well guys i got a 2002 R/T and a 68 Mercury Cougar and wanna modify one of the two and not sure whick one to do. Do u think it would be easier and have more potential and cheaper with the cougar? I know R/Ts can be fast but those parts are expensive. i can get edelbrock rpm heads for my 302 for the price of a m1 and roller rockers and a custom flash. Well my real question is what do u guys recomend me to do?

Message: I guess it depends. If the Cougar is all stock - I might leave it alone or restore it. If it's hurting and needs a lot of work anyway, I'd probably mod that over the R/T.

Message: If the Cougar is in decent shape to start with, do it. How often do you see Cougars of that era running around. Everything that works with the same generation Mustang will work with the Cougar.

Message: mustang parts are cheap and numerous. r/t parts are the exact opposite. it kinda shows how unorthadox it is to take a dodge truck and try to make them fast. do you like trucks or just speed? FI or carb? you have to totally opposite choices here, lol.
personally, i love my truck and would trade it for a cougar, eventhough i love muscle cars.
