i'm pretty sure that the 1990 v8 will not fit the same engine mounts. however the 1993 and newer will.

the tranny in the 39 n 59 are different, the drive train might b ripped apart by the more torque and power

Uhhh, no, that's not the case at all. We are talking automatic trannys? Sticks, I don't know, but automatics? This is do-able, and very easily. So is it stick or automatic?

the trans is a auto the new motor is a 5.9 the trans will mount up its a torqueflight pattern i just dont want to have to fab a oil pan this is my hunting truck its in great shape but grossly underpowerd and ive had a few delemais with the carb a few rebuilds and a home made two stage acclerator pump sice you cant find the replacement part for the original but i was hoping this was a drop in kinda like changing a 250 chevy to a 350 the wiring is cake for me and like i said i kinda wana talk with somone who has done this swap to see where or if they had any problems my guess would be the crank sensor location oilpan fit and possibly a torqe converter change

also i rather not shorten drive shafts and go through the pain of fabricating a bunch of parts id spend the money on some good bottomend parts for the 3.9 and make the heads work right first i guess im just looking to see what a pain this is or isnt i had the 5.9 runnin today and its strong i found a great cam for it at a resonable price and have also accired a off road ecm so im into this project for a big fat zero right now i can get the cam and timing set for a few hundred witch would be a great upgrade. so the question lies does it fit what mounts fit it best and do i need the slide rule to do this
