Message: I put a cold air intake with a cone filter on this summer on
my 4.7 , now that winter is coming should I take if? I live in
michigan where the winters are really bad.. I am worried
about what is going to happen to the filter.. is it going to
get distroyed with all the salt and crap? is there a cover or
something I can get to put over it so it doesnt get trashed.
Thanks

Message: If you use a true cold air intake in temperatures below 20, I have found that the heater never really warms up the truck. A Cold Front grill cover would solve this problem and you should get by with the cold air intake all winter. Just watch the temp guage on really warm winter days. Don't know about the salt, we don't use it here in Alaska.

Message: There is a cover you can put over the intake, personally i don't think anything will mess it up because its doing what it's supposed to be doing... "filtering". but that cover thing should be at www.stylinconcepts.com under like air intakes or whatever.
