Message: Yes. I'd recommend getting the Mopar PCM for a Ram 360 because it will work better but your Mopar PCM for a 360 will work.

Message: I got the 5.9 motor and trans out of a 87 van for $500. It has TBI, if I go to a junkyard and get the 318 intake manifold and all the parts to go with it is it possible to run a stock 318 computer with it and still have it supply enough fuel?

Message: 318 parts will run the 360....badly. Come on. Seriously. It will run, but it'll be a dog on the upper rpm range, and I don't mean 6,000. More like it'll start hitting a wall above 3,500. Again, it'll move, but if you're gonna go through all that trouble, dig a little more and get the matching 360 parts. The 318 ports are smaller than the 360 (pre-Magnum). Imagine breathing through a straw. Also, the 318 computer will run a 360, but you run into the same issue. You'll be running into a very limited upper rpm corner. Those computers are pretty rigid in their programming, so you run into fuel starvation, or at least running lean at higher engine speeds. It's just not an area where you want to cut corners. Also, the computer in your 94 (or any Magnum-powered vehicle) will not interface with a TBI setup, so you'd have to piggyback a TBI controller for the TBI and let your '94 computer do the rest. For the money, and what you're planning, you might consider adding Magnum heads/intake/pre-96 360 Magnum computer/harness. I've seen Magnum intakes for $20 on eBay just a few days ago.

Message: Thanks for all the help. I was not planning on running the stock TBI setup. I guess I will be looking for pre 96 360 magnum parts. Did they come in the 1500's with the 360's? If so I believe this will be my best bet. Also, will the magnum roller lifters work in the non magnum block, I am pretty sre it has flat lifters since it is a 87 out of a conversion van, but hell, I might as well spend some money on a good cam and lifters considering I only spent $500 for the running engine and trans.

Message: Magnum and pre-Magnum roller lifters have different part numbers, and all I've ever seen says they're "similar," but nothing says they're interchangeable. They're mighty close when you look at them side-by-side, and they probably are,but considering everything, you might as well (ouch) get new ones. Yeah, they had 360's in the 1500's. Something you may want to consider....I'm putting a 360 Magnum in my '89. To help get it on the road sooner, I'm using an M1 with the injector bosses (undrilled at present). It's gonna have a carb while I cobble the MPI things together. I snagged the Magnum harness for less than $30 on eBay. Anyway, it may always have a carb, but if emissions becomes an issue, or I just want the MPI, I can continue to gather the pieces while still running the truck. Also, by getting the M1, I get rid of that troublesome stock belly pan gasket. If the emissions issue requires a stock intake, I'll have the stocker reworked internally for better performance. Just something to consider.

Message: The belly pan gasket does not bother me, so I am just probably going to slap on the ole beer barrel style intake manifold, ported of course and a flowmetrics 55mm throttle body. Its my goal to have the most streetable power out of this motor without a supercharger or turbos, and no more than 9.5:1 compression.

Message: ohh yeah, also forgot to say, no crazy stroker motors. I want to build this motor on a budget. I don't agree with the whole "Lets slap in some $3000 pistons and $10000 rods and $75000 heads". I like building motors dirt tracker style, start out cheap and if its not enough add more until it is.
