Subject: Simple or Complex Fix IP: Logged
Message: I have a 91 Dakota Sport, 5.2 liter, and automatic Transmission. When I put it in park from reverse and turn the truck off, it will not start up again. I have to turn the ignition to run and put the truck in drive and then to park and it wil start. It starts everytime going from drive to park and shutting the key off. Does anyone know what the problem is and if it is a simple job or does it require in depth knowledge of the transmission to fix? Is this a safety mechanism that is failing?

Message: Yup, that or neutral safety switch is screwing up, should be relatively simple.
