Message: I think the switch on my trucks driver's side is going out. when i want to roll down the window i have to mess around with it for a while or if i hit it or restart the truck that usually works too. i'm guessing its the switch but i think it could also be a loose wire. what do you guys think and how much does the switch cost cause our mech.s around here are dumb as rocks....

Message: It may be that your window lift motor is going out. You can tell if it is the switch by pulling it out and connecting a jumper wire between the two posts. If it works properly it is the switch. If not it is probably the motor. I don't know how much a switch costs. I've replaced the motors on other types of vehicles for 70 to 90 dollars.

Message: I have a niggling problem that my power locks won't lock from the driver's side door when it is hanging open and the truck is running. They lock when I close the door, and they lock when I turn the truck off, but not before I do one or the other!

I think that is normal. System is designed to prevent locking your keys in the truck with it running. I don't think you can lock the doors with power if the key is in the ignition switch.

Message: Everything works expect the power windows, I can't
open any of the windows with any of the switches the
driver side, passenger side or either back switches.
They work in morning and after work they didnt go
down has to be a fuse or something right? Where
should I start to fix this problem.

Message: Once a fuse is blown, it's blown. The gap in the fuse is usually burned so that they cant reconnect. If you use button on a different door do they go down? If they work with other buttons but not the drivers side button then I'd suggest it is the switch(button). If they all stop working at the same time then there has to be some kind of central control shared by all four doors.
