Message: I got a 91 dak with the 318. Its not a magnum. I was wondering if anyone has tryed puting a better camshat in one of theese. What kind of conflicts do you run into with the computer? And why do all the books say that the camshafts are good for all years but 91? I'd like something like an RV cam or maybe a little hotter. I don't want to buy a camshaft and find it won't work in my engine. Anyone have any luck with theres?

Message: Comp Cams has a computer-friendly roller cam for just over $100, but you will need new valvesprings. The cam has considerably more lift, but duration remains tight. They do offer hotter models but as they get hotter, more computer mods are required. An easy way to handle this is to use the 360 PCM and throttle body. Naturally, using matching 360 intake and heads is a nice added touch. The hard part is finding the stuff. Even harder is getting a good deal. Still, the CC cam is a good deal, even the mildest one will wake up your engine nicely.
