Message: I have a 03 and it has the manifold already there.I haven't got on it to hard yet but I'm not that impressed with it yet. It feels like it has a little more bottom end but it seams to of lost some top end. Maybe a new F&B TB will help?? The cams maybe worth putting in yourself but I would not pay someone to do it.
Hammers I'll swing by your house some time, I want to know what happened to your neighbors
motor.

Message: 7 hours? Good grief man, did you have to fabricate your own tools or something? My cousin and I did mine in about 2 hours. Piece of cake.

Message: I can believe 7 hour install. I took 2 hours to put in a jet chip.
Mix in a truck buddy, with a couple cases of beer, with a pizza run, and some more tinkering, and some more beer.
Hell I was lucky to be so quick to install that chip in under 2 hours.

Message: Yes, the motor was in the truck! It helps when your cousin is a 4.7 specialist at a Dodge dealer. The right tools and knowledge make all the difference in the world! He knew the size of every bolt by heart. Air tools make the job go by much quicker.
If I had done it by myself, 7 hours sounds about right!

Message: AndrewM is correct, because his cousin put my cams in this past weekend! It took him less than 2.5 hours. It was worth every dime I paid him too.
Thanks again Andrew

Message: AndrewM;
Yeah, she was somewhat hot when he started working on it. Looking back I should have got there an hour earlier to let it cool down. Tommy even let me help without charging me extra, haha. I'm going to dyno again this week so I'll post an update. Here is a list of my other mods:
'02 Dakota SLT CC+, 4.7L, auto, 360 airintakez, TPS adj, Relocated IAT, Removed Clutch Fan, Removed 3rd Cat, Autolite 3923, Flowmaster 70 Series, 4.10s w/LSD, Fastman 68mm TB, ROE Controller. Robert Shaw 180 Tstat, Flex-a-lite ATC #31147.
Dyno Results without ROE Controller: 205 RWHP/ 265 RWTQ.
wuba;
He had to remove that fitting just above the valve cover, or may be thats the PCV valve I don't remember what its called. He also disconnected all the connectors going to the fuel injectors and took the Power steering pump off also. It was a real bear to get off.

Message: Hey W.B. I believe it is time to switch to a better Dak site. Visit Dakota USA.com and you'll see that the folks there are actually willing to give advise and help with problems, more so than those here!!! No flaming and crap like this site is allowed and it is actually served by a web master. So if you wan't to find me, go to that site and look for DAKSTER!
