Message: You don't need cam and heads to get into the low 14s or even 13s for that matter. M1, 52mm F&B TB, K&N FIPK, B&G M1 flash, GSM R/T headers and spintech true duals(gsmotorsports.com), Msaine valve body, 4.56 gears, and Crower 1.7 rockers got me well into the 13s in my club cab R/T. Retard some timing and throw a "one fitty" shot on top of that combo and look out.

Message: Damn I can't believe u got a 14.8 with only headers and a PCM. could you tell a big difference with the headers? i'm looking at getting those but i was going to wait until after some other mods
if you want to hit low 14's, i'd get a new exhaust system. dont get me wrong, the flowmaster cat-back is a nice set-up, but you will get twice the power with a "true" dual exhaust setup. i'm planning on ditching my flowmaster cat-back (exact same as yours) in a couple months for the true dual setup without cats and 2 flowmaster 40 series (single in/out).
but if u want to keep your exhaust, i'd go with the usual - 52mm Fastman or F&B throttle body, m1 intake manifold, and some harland 1.7 roller rockers. then you should be able to hit low 14's

Message: Jared,
I believe the truck does that to help warm up the engine/transmission/diff. They all do it and its not a problem. If you read your owners manual it says that it doesn't shift into overdrive untill the proper temperatures are reached.
