Ok I was thinking about getting an R/T Tb for my 94 v-6 dak. Problem is I heard it only works in the 4 grand and up range...true or not...and I know the TB will get worse low-end and I dont want that but what is the tru benefit from this upfgrade?

It is a good upgrade. I've talked to people with Gen 2 Daks and they went from a V8 TB up to a 50mm on a V6 and love it. The worst that can happen is you won't like it and you'll have to change it back. I have a 52mm on my fairly stock 5.9 and it runs awesome. Trial and error is the best method.

Before I dropped the 318 in my truck I put on a v8 tb and it added some nice top end but lost too much torque. The six doesn't have enough of that as it is. I ported out my old tb, removed the air horns and polished the ports up a bit. That, to me, was much better than the v8 tb.
Not quite as much top end but the difference in torque made up for it

Hope this helps
Geoff

You're only gonna realize improvements in lower rpm range with V8 TB if you make other changes like cam etc.
