Message: My tranny through this code twice in 2 weeks. Shutting off the ignition and restarting cleared the symptoms and the MIL went out after several start cycles. I reset my PCM recently when I changed cams and haven't had the code since. Are your code and symptoms solid? If so, it's a good chance that you have a PCM problem which should be covered under warranty for 8 years/80,000 miles by your emissions warranty.

Message: P0700 usually means a trouble code is stored in the trans controller. What kind of scanner are you using??

Message: Well i just turned the ignition key on and off several times, then looked it up on the internet. I went to my friends dad shop to use there scanner (Geniesis) but i only went to 99 models and down. Im taking it to the shop tomorrow morning, hoping its not going to cost a fortune.
If i bought the truck used, and its under 80,000, would it still be covered by the factory emmission warranty?

Message: Check in your owner's manual. I believe by law the manufacturer is required to cover the emissions related components for the entire warranty period regardless of owner. I think it's an EPA thing, not for your protection but, for the environment's protection. Good luck.
