I've read more than a few posts mentioning that the 2000 4.7 came with a 63mm TB, and that the 2001 and later 4.7 comes with a 68mm TB. I want to install a cold air intake, such as the z-tube, to try and get a bit more MPG out of this beast....

I'll cut to the quick:

-Will the 2001 and later TB fit the 2000 4.7 engine without any further modifications?

-Is it advisable to do this to maximize the gains of installing the higher-flow cold air intake?

A lot of peeps here have mentioned dremel-tooling the TB to better smooth the airflow...is there anywhere to find pictures and better detailed instructions on this process? It sounds mighty sketchy to me otherwise.

Thanks!!!!
