Message: I'm not sure about a 94 but the newer ones have a pump and filter in the gas tank, Dodge also gave us a 100,000 mile warranty on it.

Message: The pump is in the tank, but the filter and pressure regulator are a combined unit that is attached to the top of the tank.

Message: In the tank ..
Yes the regulator with a 'filter' are on top of
the tank , but they almost never are the problem..
There is a big filter at the bottom of the fuel pump /sender assembly [ looks almost like a small air filter ].
Then inside the 'assembly ' is a smaller ,thin filter element as well.
If you were able to find these two "filters" from somewhere and change them , most problems would be eliminated.
However , seems the only way , even for the dealer , is to replace the entire assembly..
$ 152.00 older trucks at Autozone and between $300
to 5 or 600 for newer { 96 and up }
