Sean,
If your turboing or at least trying to you need to figure on quite a few things. Your Gonna Need a raiseing Rate FPR, 307 Fuel Pump, Fuel Control, Much Larger Injectors, FMIC, Larger TB, realise these have a hugh TB already and with forced induction you will need bigger and HD Seals. Upgraded Spark. The usual Mods, Intake, Exhaust, ECU Control, Lower T-sate, Colder Range Plugs. And for turbos you wasting your time with anything less then a T3/T4 60 Trim Turbo, this is not a 4 Cylander. These will spin up small turbos like a pinwheel in a Huricane. Speed Desity is what everyone with sence now runs, its better then the crappy Karman Vortex Mas of a DSM, you might know it better as what the HKS VPC uses. I would not try this as a past time esspecailly if you have no idea about speed density. I know form what I speack

small (less then 150 cubic inches) engines have max power at hivh level rotations per minute (7000 and more) - european, asian cars

big engines (about 500 cubic inches) have max power about 3000 roatations per minute .....

turbocharger decrease power at low speed of crankshaft and increase (even twice) at high speed

supercharger increase both power and torque at all rpm

the biggest increation of torque is at low sppeds of crankshaft (supercharger)

if u have v8 4,7 liter i think that supercharger would be better, becouse no intercooler is needed (when using supercharger)

turbocharger is powered by hot exhausts and fresh air is getting wormer and wormer by charging and by hot (1000 K and more) turbocharger

engin loss power when hot air fill the cyllinder sa people used to use colling intercooler which decrease temperature and don`t decrease preasure ......

so.......

turbo: small i3, i4, i5, i6, v6

supercharger: big v6, v8

i`m sorry of my innatural language but i don`t come from USA, i even don`t have driving licence yet

Duner,
What year dak do you own? I just looked up the Compression specs for my '00 QC 4.7 to run a compression check, and the factory manual lists the compression at 9.0. Or is yours at 9.5 as a result of mods?
