Subject: R/T 4000 rev limit in Neutral? IP: Logged
Message: i cleaned my throttle body a month ago and now when i rev my 2000 5.9 in neutral it acts like it is hitting the rev limiter at 4000-4300rpm. why?

Message: Be glad it is as high reving in neutral is a good way to have your motor go sour...
No load on the internals when you are in neutral

Message: It is supposed to do that, keeps it from blowing up. Nothing to worry about, they all do it.

Message: yea at WOT in gear it shifts right in all gears. it's just in neutral. ok i'll stop worrying now.
